Good afternoon everyone! Today I bring to you the piece which is my offering to freeficfriday .

This is part of the Infinity's End series, and is a prequel to both The Edge of Tomorrow and The Whispers of Yesterday. This is Kieran and Azriel's story, of which you can catch a smutty glimpse in the Master and Commander oneshot.

Rating: Parts I and II are T (PG-13) at worst, while Part III finally delves into M/R/NC-17

Summary: A friendship that takes everyone by surprise slowly evolves into a deeper bond as Azriel, illegitimate son of the house Celestine, and Kieran, heir to the house Azura, throw themselves into the heart of a building altercation that explodes into an all out revolution.

a/n: This fic is slightly different in construction. The POVs are divided between either Kieran or Azriel and it covers a span of about forty years. Each scene will have a date header to allow the reader to keep track of the passing time, and there may, occasionally, be time skips days, weeks, or months in size. Also, the story is divided into three parts to account for any large skips in time (such as a year or more).
