dracoqueen22Finally got off my ass to start reading the Fullmetal Alchemist manga and man, am I impressed. It is so much better than the anime and the manga.
And the recent chapter. Just... wow. I thought chapter 94 was good, but 95 completely blew me away.
*SPOILER ALERT*
When Envy killed Hughes back in the beginning, it broke my heart. Even more because I saw the pain that Roy was going through. My favorite panel is the one where he is insisting the clear sky is raining, if only to cover up the tears. It's very poignant.
Here in chapter 96 we see a man driven to the edge by grief. He wants to kill Envy, finally having the homunculus in his hands, but Edward and Hawkeye are trying to stop him. They have a point and yet, I'm siding with Roy. I wanna see the bastard pay for killing Hughes like that.
Roy is just so torn, and it hurts, like something gripping my heart. I hope one day to be able to write like that.
In the end, Roy is convinced by Hawkeye and Edward's words, but still... it hurts him. Envy doesn't make it any better by taunting him. I really feel for Roy here.
