NaNoWriMo '11

dracoqueen22Still debating my NaNo fic. Currently in limbo. Real Life is being a kicker right now. Long hours. Low pay. Endure, endure. lol. But I gotta job so that's what's important, yes?
Anywho... NaNo! Yes, that is my conundrum tonight. My two main contenders are still Nycthemeron which is the third in the Infinity's End series. It picks up almost directly where Whispers of Yesterday left off and caps the trilogy. It's also where the story really diverges from it's Minutes to Midnight roots. In fact, the climaxing scene in WOY is really the diverging point, but Nycthemeron makes it more obvious. It's full of battle and revelation and of course, smut. Nycthemeron, for those curious, is another word for day. It's a period of 24 consecutive hours, and is often used to avoid the ambiguity of the word "day".
And the second contender is Shady Hill, which was supposed to be my NaNo from last year, but didn't happen due to computer troubles. Instead, I ended up finishing In Darkness Dwells by hand. I started writing Shady Hill. I'm about eight chapters in. So if I do pick this up for NaNo, I'd likely have to write something else at the same time in order to meet that 50K requirement (which I usually pass by 30K anyway). Shady Hill is my next item for possible publication though and it is already in progress. It's always nice to complete something in progress.
'Course, there is always The Nameless which I had planned to write as my MayNaNo but life didn't cooperate. Well, life and plot. *laughs* The plot didn't want to make sense no matter how much I worked on it. So perhaps this one isn't a good choice.
I've got... probably a half-dozen story plots waiting in the wings. Time is all I need.
And now, I'm back to pondering. Ah, decisions, decisions.
