NaNo November

 

October was busy, busy, busy, but very productive! I got a lot of things done that I wanted to do, including all of the pieces for ClayLeb week, a Fjord/Caduceus piece, some new the Arcana works and all kinds of plotting for my NaNo novel, plus brainstorming a new idea, and finishing up another original work. Phew. 

 

But now I'm ready for November. I'm ready to rock and roll on my original story. And it is 100% what November is about. 

 

I don't have a title for the fic yet. Nothing perfect has come to me yet. But I can give you a little summary of what it's about. 

 

Glint, who is an air genasi rogue, is hired to do some thievery but gets caught in the process, and meets Aurelius the Storm, a hobgoblin mercenary commander. Aurelius takes mercy on Glint and locks him up, but Glint escapes and after discovering the truth of what they meant him to steal, decides he's not that kind of criminal, and returns to his boss empty-handed, and not for the first time. Cast out of the thieves guild and with nowhere else to go, Glint returns to Aurelius, tail between his legs, and takes Aurelius' offer of a place in his mercenaries. 

 

Glint's pretty irresistible, and Aurelius can't take his eyes off the newest recruit. Fortunately, it seems Glint feels the same away about his new commander. Of course that's not the end of the story. That's just the beginning, because Glint's past is waiting to catch up to him, and Aurelius is going to get swept up in it as well. 

 

I plan on posting bits and snippets as I wrote, probably on tumblr or twitter depending, and if I finish it by the end of November, I'll work on something new. Probably fanfic for a change of pace, or whatever else strikes my fancy.
