It wasn't until after I started writing out the summaries of these stories that I realized they shared a common theme, therefore, I title this poll, "Unlikely Friendship".

What is it?

Well, NaNoWriMo is right around the corner. It's time that I choose what I'm going to write so I can start plotting, name searching, character-building, word-constructing, and all the important bits and pieces ahead of time.

This year, I'm going to write a slashy fic. The last four years I've written three general stories and one het romance. I think it's about time I included a slashy romance in my repertoire.

But as always, I'm indecisive. I don't know what I want to write but I do have options. I thought I'd share them and see if I can get a vote going. As a reward for those who take the time to vote, you can give me a pairing and a prompt from any series (fanfiction or original) and I'll write you a piece of flash fiction. The voting should remain anonymous, so you don't have to tell me what your choice was, just leave a little comment with your choice and I'll take your word for it. I love chances to stretch my writerly fingers.

All right! I have four pieces of fiction for you to choose from. Here they are for your perusal, one of them a familiar name from the last poll I ran in July.

Shady Hill -- The two gangs, Rhapsody and Nocturne, have spent decades embroiled in war, both seeking the same mythical object, one rumored to bring absolute power and absolute wealth. Mik, leader of Rhapsody, is tired of the bloodshed and the fighting. Haunted by the shadow of his best friend, he’ll stop at nothing until he’s ended everything. For good.

(This particular fic is also subject to a title change, lol)

Intrigued by Ryusai, Kele forms a friendship whose strength is tested when Kele is invited back home, but only if he agrees to completely reject his new companion.
