So... it's probably pretty obvious by now that I love me some manga, especially of the slashy variety. Whether it's explicit or not, if it's well told, well drawn, and well put together, I'll adore it. I also have my favorites. I could probably name ten off the top of my head. But I'm sitting here wondering... what about my f-list? Does anyone else read the slashy manga or am I on my own? What scanlation groups do you follow, if any, and what sorts of manga do you own?
Well, if I go into all of that with me it could take quite a few posts. So I'll stick to the basics right now.
I follow three scanlation groups obsessively: Blissful Sin, Nakama and Dangerous Pleasure. I used to follow Liquid Passion pretty heavily, but I didn't like a lot of the manga-ka that they selected, so now I check it every once in awhile. But oh! What DP and Nakama tend to pick are right up my kink alley!
I'm the rare sort of scanlation reader. If I like it, I'll buy it. Even if I have a copy of it for free, if I like it, I'll try my best to buy it once it comes out in English. Right now, my collection is small, but I'm slowly building it. To name a few, I have: "Tea for Two," Yaya Sakuragi and "No Touching at All," Yoneda Kou and "Future Lovers," Saika Kunieda and "Fake," Sanami Matoh and "Shout Out Loud," Satosumi Yamaguichi. Just to name a few. *grins*
But my favorite manga-ka... yeah, that's a lot to name. How about I stick with my top ten, given in no certain order: Yaya Sakuragi, Saika Kunieda, Naono Bohra, Yugi Yamada, Suzuki Tsuta, Yukimura, Ishihara Satoru, Kazuma Kodaka, Takao Hiroi, and Yoneda Kou. Pretty much if it was written by them, then I adore it. There are more, but I don't think we have all day to talk about them. *grins* And bit by bit, I'll be showcasing my favorite manga on this livejournal. It'll take me years, probably. lol
What about you?
