No Flash Fic Fills Today
May. 7th, 2011 09:04 pmSorry guys!
But I completely forgot that today was the day of a massive concert I planned to attend so I didn't get any writing done. It was a rock concert, eighteen bands, all day, tickets cheap as hell, and boy was it exhausting.
It was called Carolina Rebellion and the bands present were: Drop D, My Darkest Days, Cavo, Art of Dying, Saving Abel, Halestorm, Pop Evil, Hinder, Skillet, Black Stone Cherry, Alter Bridge, Bullet for my Valentine, Rev Theory, Theory of a Deadman, Seether, Stone Sour, Three Days Grace, Godsmack, and Avenged Sevenfold.
To be fair, I didn't know half of the bands, but those that I did know, ROCKED. You could tell this was the first time they'd tried something like this though, because they were woefully unorganized and unprepared for the 32K people who attended. Parking was a nightmare. They had only ONE gate open to start (which made for an almost three hour wait to get in until they opened more gates). There weren't nearly enough port-a-potties or food stands (more than an hour's wait for food) or ATMs (more than two hour wait for ATM).
My mom was lucky though. She got to meet Hinder and got them to sign a poster for her! Lucky duck! *grins*
Still, despite all the setbacks, it was fun and I enjoyed myself. Now, however, I'm too wiped (and BURNT, it was outside in the sun and I didn't use nearly enough sunscreen) to write any flash fiction so expect the first fills tomorrow. See ya then!
