Long silence, I know. But busy work times make for less posting. Alas. But I return with good news! Part of my month had been overtaken by this prompt from a writing contest that pretty much ate my brain.

And, lo and behold, I found out tonight that I took first place. Wow. That's all I can say. Wow. First time ever for me in any sort of writing contest. I feel... pretty humbled, actually, especially since by the end of the wire, I was so convinced it was utter crap. What makes this even better is that posting was anonymous, so no one knew it was me (save the mods of course) and I can be sure people didn't vote for me purely out of loyalty to an author. And now my muses are celebrating by bombarding me with plot ideas and happy times. :)

The fic was called Dear Lies, written for the love is in the air or Valentine's horror prompt. I chose Valentine's horror. The fic is Transformers G1 and it's rather dark. I shall post in on my livejournal sometime tonight or tomorrow. But if you can't wait, you can also find it here. *scurries off to celebrate... and post fic*
