Fanfic Rec - Batman (Nolanverse)

dracoqueen22I am a HUGE Batman fan. Always have been. So it's amazing that I've just now started to think about fanfiction. I mean, I've had a healthy curiousity about Batman fanfiction and it's existence, but never even knew where to begin. I always thought I might be interested in some Batman/Superman or some Batman/Nightwing. Or some Batman/Robin(Dick Grayson). Or hell, some Batman/Anyone. But I never really thought about Batman/Villain. Or Villain/Villain.
Until now.
I can't exactly remembered how I stumbled upon this story in the Pit. I think it was a favorite of a fan of mine's. But I'm sure glad I did.
The author's name s Lauralot and I do believe she's on livejournal as well. She's written some Joker/Scarecrow. But she's also written some Batman/Scarecrow. And I was startled to discover that I enjoyed all of it. Perhaps it was her writing style and how very psychological she writes. I'm not sure. Either way, I literally sat down for a week straight and did nothing but consume every piece of fanfiction she has written.
I started in the middle, ironically, with "The Doctors and the Nurses They Adore Me So" which is a Joker & Scarecrow piece that focuses on what could have happened to the Joker after The Dark Knight. And it is amazing. She has Joker's mannerisms down pat and I swear it seems like it could be a sequel or something.
She also has another series, starting with "Mad Friends" (which focuses on how Joker met Harley Quinn) goes on into "Act Like We Are Fools" (which then gives us a taste of Joker/Crane) and continues into "Shadow Selves" (a massive, 100 chapter fic that ends with Wayne/Crane).
Amazing.
So yes, if you're interested in Batman. I'd suggest checking her out. I don't think you'll be disappointed. I certainly wasn't.
