dracoqueen22After another day of good news, I thought I'd bring everyone up to speed on what I'm working on. And reassure you that I've not forgotten about any of my stories *grins*
Regarding In Darkness Dwells. I finished the "first" draft, and now I've discovered that it needs a lot of revision. So I'm in the process of adding at least five more chapters of material, and fleshing out some of the details. I have plans to get it finished, edited, and sent out to potential publishers by the end of March -- RL willing.
Regarding The Butterfly Effect, it is not abandoned. I know it's been almost a year since I updated. If you want a face to blame, tell Tite Kubo. His craptacular manga has killed my Bleach muses. It's sad, but true. Ever since the bullshit that was pulled with Aizen and... you know what, I won't even get into that. Suffice to say, that I don't even READ Bleach anymore and I'm moving on from it. I still like to write the occasional fanfic, but I don't think I have room for epics anymore. I will finish The Butterfly Effect but it's on hiatus until I finish The Beautiful Lie first, that way I can devote all of my time and attention to it and crank out the chapters a bit faster. Style-wise, TBL and TBE are so different that it's hard for me to focus if I leap between the two. Thus, once I complete The Beautiful Lie, updates to The Butterfly Effect will resume. Good news is, I have maybe ten more chapters to write in TBL (I have some sent to beta that I haven't posted yet). Huzzah!
Regarding War of the Animum: Wolf in the Fold. It's not abandoned, just crawling along at a snail's pace. I'm setting myself up to try and finish up all of these projects to give myself more time to work on the extended ones, like War of the Animum. So I've sorta set aside those serials to work my ass off finishing up the others. I've got one chapter lingering on my hard drive that needs another edit, and then another that's half-finished. I plan to get to it here in the next couple of months.

What's holding me back?
Well, I like to write ahead for fics where I've promised an update. So things like The Break of Day, where I've committed myself to posting every other week, takes a lot of precedence. Currently, I'm several updates ahead, so I'm going to set that aside to focus on something else.
I've got several fics in progress that I'd like to finish up, just so I can stop looking at them, knowing they have to be completed. The lingering works really annoy me. I want to stamp them done. Things like Shady Hill which is almost halfway done. I've also got a couple rewrites of fics that I want to do. Especially Fallen Angel, Fallen God because I have an awesome sequel planned for that. Along with a sequel to The Requiem of Janus which is still in the planning stages. Phew. So much ficcage, so little time.
Right now, though, I'm actually working on a few additions to A Thousand Words. I've completed two rather angsty pieces and I've got an angsty idea for a third BUT I thought maybe I oughta inject a little happiness in there. I've only got one happy fic so I'd like to balance out the angst but alas, I'm at a loss for happy ideas. My mind doesn't think fluff! It's crazy, I know. Strangely enough, A Thousand Words has also turned into a series of song-fics. Not my intention from the beginning, but eight chapters in, that's what it's become. I like it though.
I'm a busy little bee. So I think that was everything. But if there's one fic I didn't mention, drop me a line, I'll let you know the status of it. I know how it is to wait anxiously for an update of something, never knowing if it's been abandoned or if your author ever plans to continue it or if you wait in vain. I've experienced this so many times from fics I loved so dearly, that I don't want any of my wonderful readers to feel the same agony. *grins*
