Here I be, on chapter 18 of Shattered Children, with only chapter 19 left to go, and a possible interlude should someone provide me some ideas for it. If not, I'll just forego the interlude in lieu of a simple epilogue. Really, it's up to the readers. What few I have left. *laughs*
I'm rather pleased with the way Shattered Children's final chapters are shaping. I thought I would get stumped on the relationship between Tseng and Sephiroth, but it's actually flowing very well. I suspect even the smutty scene will come easily. Two more chapters...
Looking back, it seems like so long when I started this arc. And now the end is in sight. It almost makes me a little sad. And nostalgic. I reread most of Shattered Dreams the other day -- just for kicks -- and was amazed by how much my writing style has improved, even more so than in Shattered Ice Redux. Though I'm awfully proud of Shattered Boundaries. I think I'll turn Reeve and Reno's relationship into an original story one of these days. It's so great.
Ah, and Archer Kyle is totally going to become an original character. Perhaps the main character in another slashy fiction of mine. The guy who's always unlucky in love, through his fault and not, he's just full of bad luck. Maybe a touch of comedy? Hmm...something to ponder. In any case, Archer will get a chance to shine. And so will Reis. Undoubtedly, she will show up in the story as well. Perhaps as his temporary het foil?
