Yay! It's 2010!

I don't know if I'm too enthusiastic about that. Hopefully, it will be better than 2009. Which, 2009, wasn't that bad. But it wasn't great either. Just kinda... blah. I mean, I did welcome a nephew so that's something to celebrate. Right? 

Anyway, on to writing news, that's what's important here. I really need to get back in the habit of my story/manga/fanfiction reviews. And I'll probably start with the fanfic reccs too since I know a lot of awesome writers that need a hell of a lot more attention. *grins*

Ahem, firstly, Chronicles of Valentine is COMPLETE. Finally! At a whopping fourteen chapters + epilogue and prologue. And I must say, I'm rather pleased with how it turned out. I didn't manage the Vincent/Squall since I turned Vincent more into a father figure for Squall -- isn't it strange how much Squall resembles a cross between Reeve and Vincent? 

Instead, I ended up with a Vincent/Seifer pairing that works and I really don't know how, but it's awesome. I almost want to write a bit more with them. Who knows? Maybe I'll get a oneshot idea or something.

In other news, I'm kinda hop-skipping around to see what I should work on next. I finished another chapter of The Butterfly Effect and two chapters of Hourglass for the WOTA series. Edits have begun on Infinity's End Part One so I should start offering that soon. And edits have begun on Prisoner of Conscience as well.

I'm working on several drabbles for the Seireitei Monogatari series, some of them HOT. And the requested Sora/Riku oneshot for my 30K hit on the site. All in all, I'm a busy little bee and I hope to continue this success as the New Year comes in rather slow and tediously. I spent it at work. Not so fun.

I promise to bring some kind of review in the next few days or so! Don't know of what yet, but it'll be of something.

I did update yesterday. Was too lazy to mention anything about it till today. I am an awful procrastinator. Heh.

Why haven't I updated the site, you ask? Because Tripod, who I am currently creating one through for free, is in the process of migrating from their current website creator (Trellix) to a new one (Webon) which I know nothing about. All free accounts are required to migrate whereas all paid ones (such as is the case with my fanfiction site) have the option.

Since my site is going to be automatically switched over the moment they work out the kinks, I'm reluctant to create more work for myself by having to fix everything that is is going to mess up by the migration. So I'm waiting until they are finished, and I can spiff up the site. By then, I'll have plenty of stuff to offer you guys.

And more posting should be coming soon! I'm done with the frantic push to finish stories, so I can pick up the story reviews again, and I believe I will start some manga reviews as well, since I've read so many yaoi manga that I want to share the good ones with you guys.

I'm going to try and make this a daily thing. Let's see how well that works. It might start only as a MWF thing and then go on from there. Here's hoping!

Fanfiction News!

I've made it a personal goal to finish Shattered Children, so I'm focusing exclusively on that. So far, I've managed to finish chapter 14 and I'm about halfway done with chapter 15. There's only 16, the interlude, 17, 18 and the epilogue to go. At this pace, I might finish before September. Hopefully. I do need to re-read through the story to make sure I'm not contradicting that (though I went a tad too far back and started rereading Shattered Dreams, lol)

Afterwards, I plan on devoting time to finishing The Sweetest Downfall and Chronicles of Valentine. I'm hoping to knock some of this unfinished business out of the way to leave me more time to work on other stuff.

My goal? To only be considered actively working on six fics at max (including original fiction). Right now I'm working on fourteen and that's just too much. I don't have enough time to get anything since I'm spreading it over too many. So, to finish a bunch of half-started and get to the good stuff.

More to come later.

I updated like... awhile ago, but I never got on here to say so. I am such a slacker. Oh well, I'm not entirely sure anyways referring to this for updates anyways since other methods are much, much more reliable. lol

I finally finished the extended version of Monster and have already edited through it and sent it on to the publisher. She's going to look over it and lemme know if it's what she wanted or not. I managed to expand a story that was a mere approximate 4000 words to over 32,000 words. Huzzah!

Now, I've started on The Seeker extended version and having much fun connecting it to War of the Animum, with Frost and Beryl making strong appearances. I think you'll like it. I know it's going pretty smoothly.

I started back working a bit on my fanfiction. Managed to pound out another chapter of Chronicles of Valentine and The Butterfly Effect as well. I'm also in the midst of a final edit through The Requiem of Janus so I can start sending that out to possibly interested parties.

I'll try to keep ya posted on how things go.
